Belemnites are an extinct order of squid that existed from late Triassic to late Cretaceous.

This particular creature is completely different from the normal squid. They have a unique structure inside the cap called the Phragmocone which acts just like a 'cork of a bottle'.

These unique creatures are assumed to have laid 100 to 1000 eggs. Some species of Belemnites used to adapt to speed and swam in turbulent Ocean.
