FACTS ABOUT JURASSIC PERIOD

The Jurassic period that is a part of Mesozoic era lasted from 199 to 145 million years which had about 15% of oxygen level. During which the super continent Pangea split apart forming the Laurentia continent towards the north and Gondwana continent towards the south.

Such dramatic changes brought a huge change in the coastal region that led to a dramatic change in the climate,temperature and converted many arid deserts to a thick lush green forest. Jurassic period was named after a geological feature Jura mountains that’s within the European Alps where the limestone strata of the period was first ident
