FACTS ABOUT TRILOBITES

Trilobites who use too creep on the floor are the most diverse groups of extinct animals that’s preserved in the fossil records.

They exclusively appeared during the Cambrian period which is about 542 million years ago. Although Trilobites were less abundant in the succeeding geological time line few species persisted into the Permian period that ended 251 million years ago.

Its said that trilobite’s are the first organism emerged when Earth obtained water; they are one of the unique organisms in the ocean who were named due to their appearance of three lobes( trilobe) + ite ( body) = Trilobite.
