Brachiopods and Bivalves are organisms that are relatively alike but, their Dorsal and Ventral valve arrangement differs. In Brachiopods either one of their valve among two is larger in size and has a Vacuum principled part named Pedicle, whereas in Bivalves both the valves are equal in size with hinge joints at the right position. Brachiopods have a very long history of life on Earth that's at least 550 million years ago. They first appeared as fossils of the Cambrian age and their descendants survived. Yet !! Relatively less in today's oceans and sea. They were too abundant particularly during the Palaeozoic era and they were often the most common fossils of that age.
