FACTS ABOUT ORDOVICIAN PERIOD

Ordovician period that belongs to the Palaeozoic era had about 14% of oxygen level and it was well known for marine life resources and the first primitive land plants. Climatic condition was warm and wet closer to being peaceful just like the Silurian period, but the sea levels were raising to about 1,970 feet that’s about 600 meters.

The life was peaceful till the early Ordovician; but once the late Ordovician began which was closer to the Gondwana period. Life began to be really tactful for the organisms. Since, huge amount of glaciers started building over Africa at the super-continent’s center. This heralded for about 20 million-years-ago life rich oceans started to shrink away.
